General & Shipping

We use couriers who delivery to all areas within Australia at a cost effective rate. The shipping cost will be displayed at checkout.

Where track is not required we generally use Australia Post. You are also welcome to collect your order from our Sydney Showroom or Warana warehouse (Qld) by prior arrangement. If you would like to do this please phone through your order.

Most orders will arrive within a few days to a week from ordering depending on your area. Whilst we are happy to re-send any order that does not arrive within a two week period we cannot be held responsible for late deliveries due to Australia Post or courier error.

Payment:

We accept Visa/Mastercard, PayPal, Afterpay or direct deposit. When accepting a quotation which includes installation, we require 50% deposit to book an installation date, with the remainder due on completion.

Warranty:

Gallery Systems provides a lifetime warranty on the track and a10 year warranty on all other products in the Gallery System and Slimline System range. With lighting there is a 2 year warranty on light wands and manufacturer’s warranty on all other lighting components (transformers, lamps etc).

Track installation is a simple handyman job and we provide full instructions. We can also arrange installation in Sydney, Melbourne or Brisbane. If you are outside these areas you will need to arrange your own handyman to install – we provide full instructions. With lighting if electrical work is required (ie to conceal the transformer) you will need to supply your own contractor.

Samples are available online for the Slimline System and The Standard Gallery System. We don’t charge for the samples themselves just for postage.

The tracking comes in white powder coat (Dulux Pearl White) or silver anodised finished. It can easily be painted – if you are planning to paint you should purchase the silver anodised track. It will just require light sanding prior to painting. We also can arrange custom powder coat finishes – contact us for a quote.

Yes but only to ‘The Gallery System’ Standard track. Lighting is not available on the Slimline System. If you would like help planning your lighting system simply reach out to us.

Returns

We are happy to accept items for refund of our standard stock items within 30 days of purchase, provided they are unopened and in original as new condition. The exception to this is any custom orders. Refunds will be less any shipping costs incurred.

Slimline System

The Slimline track comes in 2m lengths which are easily cut and joined. When joining two lengths you simply place a wall anchor between the two lengths (the mounting brackets supplied with the track). This makes them align perfectly. The track is easily cut to size with a hacksaw (or dropsaw if you have one)

You are welcome to view the systems in use at our Sydney showroom by appointment. Otherwise we do have Slimline sample kits available online. We don’t charge for the kits themselves, only postage.

Stainless Steel are the strongest, Clearline are the most unobtrusive and Clear Tape are the most cost effective. Please don’t hesitate to contact us to discuss these options.

Yes as many as you like just check the weight recommendations for each hanger type.

No the track is mounted to the wall via the wall anchors which are concealed by the track.

The Standard Gallery Tracking is available in 2 or 3m lengths which can easily be cut to the required length. To join you simply butt one length up to another.

If you need to fix tracking to the ceiling rather than the wall we can supply the Standard Gallery track modified for ceiling fixing. Just call or email us for a quote.

Yes, but only to ‘The Gallery System’ Standard track. Lighting is not available on the Slimline System. We have various sized lighting kits to supply different lengths of track. Don’t hesitate to chat to us to ascertain your requirements.

No, because the hole spacing depends on the type of wall construction.

Picture Rail System

Our Picture Rail hooks suit most traditional Victorian style timber picture rails. See the product information for the exact dimensions.

No they come clear coated to prevent this from happening.

Either strong Stainless Steel or unobtrusive Clearline.

Lighting is an optional add-on to the Standard Gallery System track.

That depends on your choice of lighting kit. The Maxi Kit can run up to 18x7watt LED lamps, The Mini Kit up to 8, The Micro 60 up to 8 also and the Micro 50 up to 5.

We use either GE 7 watt LED lamps (silver casing) or Philips 6.5 watt (black casing) depending on whether using black or white light wands.

No. Providing that the correct lamps are used. Poor quality lamps can cause problems of excess heat, which may cause damage or excess ultra violet light, which may fade colours. We recommend Philips or GE 7watt LED 60D lamps. We cannot over-emphasise the importance of using the correct lamp.

No. The system is designed to highlight the art so you will still need a central overhead light fitting or similar to provide an overall level of lighting in the room.

Yes. The lamp slides along the curved stainless steel rods so you can aim the light anywhere from 60cm below the track down to the bottom of the wall.

You are not legally obliged to use a licensed contractor with low voltage systems. They come with a standard power plug. You may however wish to use a contractor to recess the transformer in a ceiling cavity. Simple installations can be done by a handyman, but if in doubt use an electrical contractor. For any work on 240 volt wiring you must use a licensed contractor.

Sharp probes on the light wand penetrate the cable in the track to make contact.

Yes the system is 12 volt so safe to handle.

The power cable bends around the corners. Special corner covers fit over the track to hide the cable.
